Story Roundup: September 2019

Stories from across the movement

Throughout September, we shared various stories of what God has been doing across the movement in The UK & Ireland. We’ve gathered them below and hope they encourage you!

A Living Room in the Heart of Mansfield (Mansfield Vineyard)

We heard all about how Mansfield Vineyard are reaching the most isolated and broken communities in their city, simply through offering the small space of a VW Campervan!

If we think that church is just about meeting together on a Sunday, then our vision is way too small! Our heart is that we would see lives transformed all over Mansfield through inviting people to meet with Jesus. Compassion is at the heart of all we do: we want to be Mansfield’s best friend and put love into action.”

5 Year Olds Responding to Jesus (Riverside Vineyard, Feltham)

We have loved hearing stories of children meeting Jesus, hearing his voice and giving their lives to him!

Demonstrating Freedom, 2 years on (Coastline Vineyard)

In 2018, we captured the story of how Coastline Vineyard felt called to Boscombe to bring God’s love to the area. We caught up with them this month to hear about how lives are continuing to be impacted in the area, particularly through their Joy Café. Read it in full here.

Praying for Insomnia (Kingdom Vineyard, Scotland)

We love how Kingdom Vineyard have been pressing into courage and boldness by praying for their friends, and as a result are seeing God do amazing things in their communities!

Sharing Jesus in a Café (Winchester Vineyard)

We heard an amazing story from Winchester Vineyard Church where one man and his two boys stepped out in faith to bring God’s love and kindness in their local community.

From London to Albania (Highway Vineyard Church)

This summer, Highway Vineyard Church in Stratford took 17 of their young people to Albania for their first overseas mission trip with YWAM. We caught up with them to hear about the ways that they engaged with the locals which included giving out 5000 Bibles and books, praying for locals, sharing the gospel with prisoners, and sharing the hope of Jesus in a children’s hospital.

Head here to read about all that they got up to and the impact that it had on the locals and the youth alike!

Welcoming Refugees into the City (Vineyard Church Cardiff)

This month we heard all about what a team at Vineyard Church Cardiff are doing to support Asylum Seekers and Refugees in their city. In September 2017 they set up ‘Blend’ a weekly coffee morning where they get to know these individuals, spend time listening their stories and help them as they find their feet in Cardiff.
