Vineyard Discipleship Year is a life-changing year of learning, transformation and finding purpose where you’ll be empowered and equipped to seek the extension of God’s kingdom in your life, your local church and your community.
It’s run by local Vineyard churches across the UK and Ireland in partnership with Vineyard Churches UK & Ireland (VCUKI).
Vineyard Discipleship Year is for anyone aged 18 to 25 (17 to 25 in Scotland) eager to grow in their faith and deepen their relationship with God. It’s for those looking to be equipped spiritually, practically and relationally to live out their calling in the church and the world. If you are wanting to spend a year intentionally focusing your faith journey, the Discipleship Year is a course that provides the support and community you need to thrive.
£550 for each participant for the Year (includes food and accommodation at the Vineyard Discipleship Year residential.)
Vineyard Discipleship Year involves a half day of teaching per week at the church hosting your Year. This will involve engaging with new and bespoke content alongside your facilitator and other participants. We've drawn some of the best speakers and practitioners across our movement and beyond to share, encourage and inspire through their own stories and learning.
Alongside this, you will be asked to serve in the life of your local church hosting your Discipleship Year for 1 - 1.5 days per week. This means you can join in and have a part time job at the same time.
As part of the year you will be assigned a support mentor who you will journey alongside you throughout the year, encouraging and supporting you.
All participants are required to attend a 3-day Discipleship Year residential, joining up with Vineyard Discipleship Year participants across the UK and Ireland. Giving you space to make new friends, worship, ministry, have fun and be empowered and equipped to seek the extension of God’s kingdom in your life.
Throughout the year participants have the chance to participate in VCUKI conferences running across the nations. This includes Dreaming the Impossible, Cause to Live for and Vineyard Leaders Gathering as well as specific regional conference gatherings.
