It is our hope that all of the emerging pastoral leaders in our movement are able to navigate the intense challenge of ministry in a confusing and chaotic world with theological rigour and acumen. We, therefore, offer our own modular theological training course which lays a solid foundation for Christian life and leadership.

We also are thrilled to partner with WTC, an accredited theological training college with 12 campuses around the UK and Ireland. We wholeheartedly commend their courses, all of which are part-time and accessible for those from all kinds of educational backgrounds.

Vineyard

Vineyard Theology aims to promote head and heart understanding of the Bible, so that the way we do church is constantly being shaped by an informed, Spirit-led interpretation of God’s word.

Through Vineyard Theology you will be trained with high-quality theological education, integrated with spiritual transformation so that you are prepared for Kingdom work at any level in the church and in the world. If you are interested in developing your leadership through theological, Biblical and practical application, then Vineyard Theology is for you.

We have a number of modules that can be studied in community or in your own time, which are available through our online training platform. You can register and start studying in minutes.

WTC

All WTC programmes are part-time and in Kingdom Theology. Selecting the right programme for you will depend on your prior qualifications and your goals, defining your personal admissions experience. You can study either Undergraduate courses (CertHE, BA, or GradDip) or Postgraduate MA courses.

WTC have top quality teaching faculty who serve on the front lines of business, ministry, and mission around the world. Their classes are places of theological depth and invitation for the Spirit, and their teachers are there to help you make the connection between all of life and the Kingdom of God.

When is the earliest time I can start my Theological training?
It’s our desire that the overwhelming majority of the leaders within our movement would be theologically equipped to navigate the complex and challenging world we find ourselves in. We hope that the path between our people and various levels of theological education would be well-worn.

If I am planting a church or moving into senior leadership am I expected to also do some Theological training?
Yes. Everyone who studies with the Vineyard Leadership College completes a series of theological modules as part of the course. This is the perfect starting point, but not a final destination. It’s our intention to launch leaders who can demonstrate theological acumen and awareness, so that they are equipped for the various challenges of church leadership. For this reason, we strongly recommend further study with Vineyard Theological Training or WTC as part of their leadership journey.
