On Sunday 20th October at 10am, 9 adults and 3 children met outside a café in their local park and were set a challenge. Up to that point the idea was unknown to the group, completely unplanned and there was no money to make it happen! 

On Sunday Nights in the café, where the church meets on alternate weeks, the recent theme has been ‘Jesus’ Stories’. Rather than hear about one, the idea was to live one out. 

This video was put together to chart the adventure of this small group of people, who were inspired by Jesus’ story of the ‘wedding banquet’ found in the Bible in Matthew chapter 22. The team pulling this together experienced generosity and openness in Oxford, and those who accepted the invitation entered into this incredible story encountering a God who is accessible to all.

Hope Vineyard Oxford is a church plant that began in a living-room in the Summer of 2017. Their focus as a church is to meet people where they are and introduce them to an extravagantly generous God.
