As we face a new reality for how the church worships together, this resource has been put together to explain the legalities around licensing worship songs, having spoken to CCLI and PRS For Music on your behalf.
CCLI Church Streaming Licence
Many churches will be looking to legally live stream their worship. CCLI (Church Copyright Licensing International) have just launched the Church Streaming Licence for the UK & Ireland which is available to purchase via their online store or over the phone: +44(0)1323 436100.
Use of Vineyard Worship UK & Ireland master recordings
If you are seeking permission to use a Vineyard UK & Ireland master recording as part of your online church service you will need a master recording licence from our label administrator Integrity Music. Please contact Sue Campbell at Integrity Music directly and she will be able to help you: [email protected]
YouTube or Facebook Live
If you are live streaming using YouTube or Facebook, the CCLI Church Streaming Licence is all that you need and you do not need another license from PRS For Music.
CCLI Church Copyright Licence
This is a licence which every church needs, regardless of live streaming.
The CCLI® Church Copyright Licence™ permits churches to project or print out the words and music to the world’s great worship songs and hymns. With this licence, the church is covered for recording services on behalf of those unable to attend in person. Further, the licence permits the creation of custom musical arrangements where no published version exists. A simple alternative to seeking direct permission from each copyright owner, the Church Copyright Licence is a trusted solution and presently covers more than 24,000 churches in the UK.
Pricing depends on the size of your church. You can check the pricing that will apply to you here: https://uk.ccli.com/copyright-licences/#ccl-pricing
