As part of their Compassion ministry, Chelmsford Vineyard runs Growbaby, a project providing good quality new and second-hand baby clothes, completely free of charge, to anyone who needs it, regardless of their income, background, or faith…

“Last week we met a lady who works for our local council as part of the team supporting refugees. This lady was getting ready to meet lots of new Afghan families as they arrived at the airport. We invited her to Growbaby Chelmsford and offered to help. She was overwhelmed by the provision we had and what we could give her for these new families. She couldn’t believe that we just gave clothes away to families who needed them.

We were able to fill several cars with clothes, buggies and other baby essentials. With tears in her eyes she said, ‘I keep pinching myself. I can’t believe it. I didn’t think we’d be able to make this happen today!’ She practically skipped out of the door, saying to her colleague, ‘Come on, let’s go and make some people really happy!’”
