21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

January 2026

Throughout the month of January we are inviting you to join with us in prayer and fasting as we intercede for our nations, our movement and our churches during this time.

We have collated prayer points for you to work through, taking a different theme for each of the 21 days.

Scroll down to read how to pray for each day.

The 21 days will start on Thursday 1st January and will run everyday, culminating on Wednesday 21st January.

We have created some social media graphics for you to share including daily and weekly prayer points. There is also an A4 sheet with all of the prayer points which we would encourage you to print and put somewhere you’ll see it every day. You can download all of these below.

The Vineyard Kids team have created a resource for families to go through the 21 days together. This includes guidance on how to pray and fast with children as well as prayers, verses and discussion questions for each day. Download it below.

Prayers for each day are below:

DAY 1: NATIONS

Across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland, we are seeing signs of revival. Church attendance is increasing, particularly among the young, and openness to faith is on the rise. Yet our nations still wrestle with division, poverty, and anxiety. Pray for hope to be restored, for the Gospel to bring healing and unity, and for many to encounter God’s love in this season of spiritual curiosity. Ask for wisdom and courage for national and local leaders, that righteousness and compassion would shape public life. Pray that this stirring would grow in volume and usher in lasting salvation, repentance, faith, baptism and transformation across every nation of these islands.

DAY 2: OUR COMMUNITIES

Pray for the presence of God to fill our towns, cities, and villages so that His name is lifted high in every place. Ask that light would overcome darkness and that the reality of God’s Kingdom would be seen in everyday life. Lift up the most vulnerable in our neighbourhoods, those facing poverty, isolation, or injustice, that they would experience practical help and deep hope. Pray for peace where there is tension, for reconciliation where there is division, and for the Church to be a sign of hope and love at the heart of every community.

DAY 3: KINGDOM IMPACT

Pray for a fresh outpouring of God’s power across our churches and communities. Ask for an increase in healings, signs, and wonders that point people to Jesus and reveal His compassion. Pray that God’s truth would shine clearly in a culture searching for meaning, cutting through confusion and cynicism with love and clarity. Ask that the Church would carry the presence of the Holy Spirit with boldness, demonstrating the good news of the Kingdom not only in words but through transformed lives and the power of the Spirit.

DAY 4: TRAINING & EQUIPPING

Pray for everyone on the Vineyard Pathway to be shaped, strengthened, and filled with the Holy Spirit. Lift up Vineyard Leadership Essentials, Vineyard Leadership College, and Vineyard Theological Training, asking that these spaces would form disciples who are both grounded in Scripture and alive to the power of the Spirit. Pray for those being trained and discipled through the Pathway and other local church programmes, that they would grow in character, clarity, and calling. Ask God to equip us as a movement to raise leaders who live out the call of God on their lives with humility and boldness, carrying the Gospel with confidence into every sphere of life and ministry.

DAY 5: WORSHIP

Pray for worship across our movement to be marked by intimacy, expectation, and the tangible presence of God. Ask that every gathering, large or small, would become a place of encounter, where people experience healing, freedom, and revelation as they draw near to him. Pray for our worship leaders, musicians, and production teams, that they would lead from lives rooted in humility and holiness. Ask God to inspire new songs from within our Churches that give voice to what he is doing among us. Pray for Vineyard Worship as they write songs, train, equip, and release worship leaders across the nations, stewarding the sound of this quiet revival and resourcing the Church to worship in spirit and in truth.

DAY 6: COMPASSION

Pray for compassion to overflow through the Church in every town and city. Lift up ministries in your church like Growbaby, foodbanks, and community projects that meet real needs with the love of Jesus. Ask God to draw near to those facing homelessness, addiction, domestic violence, or poverty, including children and young people growing up without stability or support. Pray that our churches would be places of refuge and restoration, where people find belonging, healing, and hope. Give thanks for the proven link between active faith and improved wellbeing,  and ask that God would use his Church to bring light and life to those battling anxiety, loneliness, or despair.

DAY 7: SALVATION

Pray that across our nations, hearts would open to encounter Jesus. Give thanks for the 36% of non-Christians who say they are open to experiencing him for themselves, and ask that God would meet them in power through church gatherings, conversations on the streets, workplaces, and moments of quiet searching at home. Pray for neighbours, colleagues, friends, and family members to be drawn to Christ as they read Bibles and Luke-Acts booklets shared from our Churches, and sense his presence at work in their hearts. Pray that practising Christians would grow in confidence and boldness to share their faith, moving beyond hesitation and fear. Pray for deeper discipleship and Bible confidence, as churches carry both truth and grace to a culture hungry for meaning and hope.

DAY 8: CHURCH PLANTING

Pray for a fresh wave of Church Planters and Site Pastors to be equipped, released, and sent across the UK and Ireland. Ask God to speak clearly to those he is calling to step out in faith and plant new communities of hope and renewal. Pray for courage and provision for those already planting churches, that they would see fruit and favour. In this season of growing spiritual curiosity, ask that many would respond to the call to go, bringing the presence of Jesus into unreached towns, cities, and neighbourhoods, so that new churches would be born in the very places where hearts are awakening to faith.

DAY 9: GLOBAL AND MISSIONS

Pray for Vineyard Global as the leadership passes from John and Eleanor Mumford to John and Debby Wright, with grace over every detail so the handover is as smooth as possible. Ask for financial provision to accomplish the vision they carry for the growth and development of the Vineyard across the world.

Pray for mission alignment as Vineyard mission leaders work with national AVCs to strengthen governance and organisation across the movement, and for the capacity to keep pace with all the Lord is doing in many nations. Lift those serving overseas, and the persecuted Church, asking for protection, courage, welcome, and hope. Ask that every Vineyard church carry the heart of Jesus to the nations so his love crosses borders and lives are transformed.

DAY 10: WORKPLACES

Pray for the presence of God to fill every workplace across our nations. Ask that followers of Jesus would carry his character and compassion into their daily environments, leading with integrity, serving with humility, and influencing with wisdom. Pray for those caring for families, running businesses, or leading in enterprise, that their work would reflect God’s creativity and justice. Lift up those in health and social care, law, education, and government, asking that they would bring peace, fairness, and hope into the systems that shape our society. Pray also for those in the arts, entertainment, and media, that they would tell stories that reveal truth and beauty, pointing hearts toward the goodness of God.

DAY 11: HOUSEHOLDS

Pray for peace, unity, and love to fill every household across our Churches. Ask God to strengthen families, marriages, and friendships, and to build healthy communities that honour every age and stage of life. Pray for those in abusive or unsafe homes, and for anyone who feels isolated, lonely, or afraid, that they would experience God’s protection, comfort, and presence.

Ask for a culture of intergenerational connection within the Church, where younger Christians grow through the wisdom of elders and older believers are renewed by the faith and energy of the young. Pray that our homes would become places of prayer, hospitality, and restoration, open to those who are lonely and those without family, so that every person finds belonging in the household of God.

DAY 12: REVIVAL

Pray for a powerful move of God to sweep across our nations, awakening hearts and drawing thousands to faith in Jesus. Give thanks for the quiet revival already stirring, where Church attendance is rising, Bible engagement is increasing, and young adults are finding faith in remarkable numbers. Pray that this momentum would grow stronger and deeper, transforming lives, families, and communities.

Pray for five friends or family members you are committing to this month, that God would open opportunities for honest, hope-filled conversations and that his Spirit would awaken curiosity and belief in their hearts.

DAY 13: CHILDREN

Pray for the children in our Churches to grow up knowing and loving Jesus personally. Ask that they would encounter the Holy Spirit from a young age, hearing his voice and walking closely with him every day of their lives. Pray that they would be bold in sharing their faith, leading their friends to Jesus with simplicity and joy.

Lift up parents and carers as they nurture faith at home, asking God to give them wisdom, patience, and grace. Pray for every kids’ team and volunteer who serves week by week, discipling children and creating spaces where they can worship, pray, and grow in their faith. In a generation that is spiritually curious and searching for truth, pray that this next wave of children would know the love of God deeply and carry it into their schools and families.

DAY 14: NEXT GENERATION

Pray for a move of God among Gen Z and Gen Alpha, who are showing such remarkable openness to faith. Many are praying regularly, reading the Bible, and exploring spirituality in large numbers. Pray that these seeds of revival would take deep root as young people discover their true identity in Jesus. Lift up Dreaming the Impossible 2026 and the team preparing to welcome thousands of young people to Staffordshire Showground, and pray for powerful encounters with the Holy Spirit. Pray for youth leaders and ministries within local churches as they disciple and support young people who face anxiety, loneliness, and cultural pressures. Ask God to raise up a generation who live with conviction, compassion, and courage, carrying this quiet revival into their schools, families, and communities.

DAY 15: YOUNG ADULTS

Pray for a deep and sustained awakening among young adults. Give thanks for what God is already doing; church attendance among 18–24-year-olds has risen from 4% to 16% since 2018, with many showing renewed hunger for truth and belonging. Pray that their spiritual curiosity would become conviction, that the 37% who want to learn more about the Bible and the 34% of non-Churchgoers open to an invitation would encounter Jesus personally and follow him wholeheartedly.

Ask the Holy Spirit to call this generation into purpose and mission, shaping their work, studies, and relationships in step with his leading. Pray for young adults navigating life in a culture that often undermines faith, where 33% say their confidence in the Bible is shaken by media and social pressure. Ask God to ground them in Scripture, strengthen their identity in Christ, and use them as witnesses for Jesus in universities, workplaces, and communities.

As they gather for The Cause to Live For and Cause Ireland, pray for encounters with the Holy Spirit, a deepening of community, transformation, healing, direction, and intimacy with Jesus.

DAY 16: MULTIPLICATION

Pray for a fresh wave of multiplication across our movement, that as people come to faith, new disciples, leaders, and churches would be raised up to carry the Gospel further. Ask God to call and equip a new generation of pastors, planters and pioneers to lead with humility and courage. Pray for churches planting new churches, for new sites being launched, and for leaders handing on the leadership of their churches with wisdom and joy.

Give thanks for the growth already taking place, as church attendance in the UK has risen by over 50% since 2018, with young adults leading the way. Pray that this momentum would continue through intentional discipleship and evangelism that leads to new church plants and healthy growing Kingdom communities.

DAY 17: HEALTH AND GROWTH

Pray for the health and flourishing of every Vineyard church and ministry across our nations. Ask that each community would grow in spiritual depth, unity, and fruitfulness, carrying the presence of Jesus wherever they go. Pray for our Senior Pastors, Site Pastors, and staff teams, that they would be strengthened, refreshed, and led by the Holy Spirit with clarity and courage. Pray that God would protect them and to fill them with renewed vision for the year ahead. Pray that through healthy leadership and thriving local churches, many more would encounter the transforming love of Christ.

DAY 18: UNITY

Pray for unity to deepen across the Church, our nations, and the world. Ask God to heal divisions of race, culture, and class, and to make his Church a home for people of every background and nation. Give thanks for the increasing diversity within the Church: one-third of churchgoers under 55 (in the UK) are now from ethnic minorities, and pray that this richness would reflect the beauty of God’s Kingdom.

Pray for unity across political and cultural lines, that followers of Jesus would model grace, humility, and love in a divided world. Pray for unity among all Christian denominations and across the Vineyard Global Family, that we would serve together with shared purpose and joy. Ask for harmony that fuels multiplication, Churches planting Churches, sites being launched, and thousands coming to faith as the world sees the love of Christ made visible through his united people.

DAY 19: GATHERINGS

Pray for every Vineyard gathering across the nations this year to be filled with the presence and power of God. Lift up the Vineyard Leaders’ Gathering, Scottish Leaders’ Gathering, and Legacy, asking that each would be a place of renewal, vision, and unity for those who lead and serve. Pray for Dreaming the Impossible and The Cause to Live For, that these moments would ignite faith in the next generation and multiply the work of the Spirit across our movement. Ask for God’s anointing over every regional and ministry-specific event, that leaders would be refreshed, teams strengthened, and the wider Church equipped to step confidently into all that God is doing in this moment.

DAY 20: LEADERSHIP

Pray for leaders at every level of our movement to be filled with wisdom, courage, and the presence of God. Lift up emerging leaders in our Churches, that they would be trained, mentored, and empowered to lead with humility, confidence and faith. Pray for our Senior Pastors, Site Pastors, and staff teams as they serve their communities, that they would lead from overflow, in step with the Spirit.

Ask God to strengthen our Area and Regional Leaders as they support and equip local Churches, and to grant our National Directors and the Vineyard Leadership Team clarity of vision and unity of heart. Pray for our Trustees, that they would steward resources and governance with integrity and discernment. May every decision made across our movement serve the purposes of the Kingdom and help the quiet revival continue to grow.

DAY 21: 2026

Pray for God to speak clearly as we step into a new year, and give fresh vision, for individuals, for every local Church, and for us together as a movement. Pray that his Spirit would move powerfully in our lives as we serve, love, and reach those around us. Ask for strength, wisdom, and guidance in every decision and for his blessing on all that we put our hands to in 2026.

Give thanks for the remarkable growth already taking place across our nations, church attendance up by more than 50% since 2018, with 16% of 18–24-year-olds now attending monthly and 67% of churchgoers reading the Bible weekly. Pray for a continued increase in these signs of revival: more people coming to faith, greater confidence in the gospel, and a deepening hunger for God’s Word.
