Dec 16, 2011
2011 was a year of firsts. Our first National Women’s Conference, our first Vineyard National Celebration, the first time that the National Leaders’ Conference was held at Trent Vineyard and our first Emerging Leaders’ Conference.
It was such an exciting year that we’ve put together a rundown of 2011 in four parts, in case you missed any of it. Here's part two, covering April, May and June; you can find part one here, parts three and four coming soon.
April
Our first ever National Women’s Conference sold out two months before the event, and given the opportunity could have sold hundreds more tickets, as women from around the movement snapped up every last ticket.
The speakers at the Women's Conference were to be Adey Wassink and Eleanor Mumford, with Worship from Anabeth Morgan. Anticipation was high and tickets were like gold dust...
Dreaming The Impossible (our annual youth event) was a spectacular success, as youth and youth leader alike headed to the Lincolnshire Showground for their yearly shindig, including a 'make-a-short-famous-film' competion. All returned tired but happy. Here’s the winning (Italian Job) video from DTI 2011, made by and starring the youth at Stour Valley Vineyard.
May
The much anticipated Vineyard National Celebration was a huge success. 10 venues from across the UK & Ireland linked up in spectacular fashion, with Trent Vineyard hosting the main event, but thousands of people coming together to celebrate, worship, pray and give towards the vision of the movement. Here's the moment when John Wright (Trent Vineyard) linked all ten videos together.

A highlight of this day was the unveiling of the ‘Celebrate’ documentary, which tells the story of the Vineyard movement in the UK & Ireland, including how our first church was planted, then the growth we’ve seen, mixed in with stories from around the movement. If you've not seen it, you can watch it above.
Hundreds of people also committed to praying, fasting and giving to the vision of the movement. With the first PRAYFAST day planned for November 2011, where the movement would pray and fast for our current and future church plants.

Moving into June, Vineyard Records released ‘My Soul Yearns’, a live recording from the 2011 National Leaders’ Conference.
“My Soul Yearns, even faints for the courts of the Lord; My heart and my flesh cry out for the Living God.” Psalm 84
Recorded live at the 2011 Vineyard National Leaders Conference with 1000 attendees comprising of leaders from the UK and European Vineyard churches, ‘My Soul Yearns’ offers an album of new and recently released worship songs that capture the heart and passion of Vineyard worship.
One review said: "One of the principal reasons I started going to a Vineyard church 11 years ago was it’s worship – the songs were living conversations with a living God – a God of love, peace, grace, and mercy, a God who lives through all who call upon His name and love Him above all others. I can think of no better songs to sing than ones that describe this relationship – which this album does succinctly.”
The album has been really well received, if you’ve not yet listened to the album, you can pick up a copy from Vineyard Records.
St Albans Vineyard then played host to our first National Women’s Conference, with Eleanor Mumford, Anabeth Morgan and Adey Wassink.
Eleanor Mumford said of the event:
"Adey Wassink, senior pastor of the Iowa City Vineyard, proved a remarkable speaker who had worked so hard, and had prayed about us all for months. She had caught the Lord’s heart for us and we were equally caught by hers! Anabeth Morgan, about to move from Houston to be Jay Pathak’s worship leader at Arvada in Colorado, was outstanding and she loved us! Women left replenished and encouraged, having met with the Lord in their individually different but wonderful ways."
