We believe God is calling Vineyard churches to pioneer and grow successful student ministries, attracting university students to our churches, discipling them, raising leaders and engaging in mission.
Our heart is to gather key churches to raise the banner for student mission in our land. We recognise that you are a key church in your city and are already doing amazing things among students. Our intention is not to rival any student organisation or promote one particular type of church or theology but to share best practice and apply that to our own situations so that more and more students can be reached with the Gospel - in short, to have the grace and humility to learn from each other
Our vision is clear: To be the hands and feet of Jesus, to engage with and begin to shape our student culture, and to see our universities turn back to God. We believe this is done by God through the local church calling a generation of university students to bring leadership, influence, awakening and change to every single campus
2.5 million people currently attend university in the UK. The majority don’t know Jesus and those that do often don’t find a church. With even more young people attending university each year we believe God is calling Vineyard churches to pioneer and grow successful student ministries, attracting university students to our churches, discipling them, raising leaders and engaging in mission. We believe reaching students and building ministries are key to who we are as a movement.
The taskforce works closely with and under the vision of Cause to live For. We encourage students to pilgrim to the conference and emerging leaders weekend every year to gather with other students from across the UK and Ireland to see the bigger picture and be envisoned for the movement.
